Better than Weight Loss Pills for Menopause – A Success Story

Better than Weight Loss Pills for Menopause – A Success Story

Cheryl’s biggest accomplishment in life as she entered into menopause was her children – some still living at home and others had children of their own.

She watched them play outside and felt guilty because she didn’t have the energy to keep up with them and be the mom she wanted to be.

Cheryl was snippy at times but knew deep down that’s not who she was at her core.

She watched her family leave in the mornings to go to work and school while she cared for the home.

She spent a lot of time on the couch, scrolling through her phone with no energy to do the things she longed for in her heart.

Not only did she dream of being an energetic mom, but she wanted health. She also longed for a closer relationship with her husband so they could enjoy intimate date nights and travel. Cheryl wanted the energy to meet friends for mid-day coffee and serve in her community more.

Deep down, she knew she was created for more.

She had tucked away her personal dream of becoming an author, but still believed one day it could be possible. But that would have to wait.

At this time, Cheryl was:

  • Unsure what to eat and bloated after meals because she was attempting to follow conflicting dietary information on the internet.
  • Lacking confidence because she was more than 50 pounds overweight and didn’t feel good in her skin.
  • Tired during the day because she was waking up in the middle of the night multiple times drenched due to hot flashes from hormonal imbalances.

She had been struggling with her health and weight for 20 years.

As she planned a big trip to Israel, she knew it would be physically taxing on her body and mind if she didn’t work on her health in preparation for the trip.

She did everything she knew to clean up her diet and started walking to build her stamina. She even lost a little weight.

The trip was one of the best experiences of her life, except for the pain and swelling she experienced in her legs and feet, which only worsened when she got home.

It took several weeks to recover. She realized she couldn’t manage her health on her own and prayed for answers and someone to guide her.

Cheryl and I crossed paths at a conference shortly after her trip and she shared some wonderful memories.

A few weeks later, our paths crossed again and she shared a little more about her health struggles.

My question to her was simply, “can I help you?”

This was the day everything changed for Cheryl. Her eyes brightened as if she had hope for the first time in a long time.

She had a lot of questions and wondered:

  • Will I be able to do the work?
  • Will you be able to help me?
  • Will I be able to afford it?

These questions aren’t uncommon. They are great questions, and I’m glad Chery was able to meet herself where she was and communicate her concerns.

I shared more about my Go With Your Gut Method and how I help clients heal digestive issues and balance hormones naturally so they can feel good in their skin and get their life back.

She decided to go with her gut that day and hired me to help her 😉

A Better Weight Loss Solution in Menopause than Weight Loss Pills

We focused on cleaning up her diet and did a good cellular detox – the right way. Detox is a buzzword right now, but most people don’t get results because there’s more to it than drinking a tea you get from the local health food store.

After getting amazing results with step 1, we continued by looking at a few advanced lab tests and did a very focused gut healing protocol and worked to balance hormones with natural herbs.

Today Cheryl has:

  • Lost over 50 pounds and kept it off for several years.
  • Got rid of bloating and other digestive issues.
  • Gained confidence in what she needs to eat to fuel her body and metabolism.
  • Balanced her hormones naturally – and is free from fibroids, hot flashes, and mood swings.
  • Improved her relationship with her kids and husband and is able to keep up with them on the basketball court and on nature walks
  • Written and published her book, “Letting God Lead”

The best part for Cheryl is seeing her children and husband follow in her footsteps and improve their health right along with her.

Her entire family is thriving now because she took the first scary step and said, “I need help and I’m willing to accept it.”

If you’re experiencing something similar…

You are not alone!

My question to you is the same one I asked Cheryl the second time we met… “Can I help you?”

I help women improve their digestive system so they can balance hormones naturally and realize their full potential.

With over 20 years as a medical professional, studying the mind, body, and spirit from a traditional and natural standpoint, and 10 years dedicated solely to finding the missing pieces to this gut-hormone connection so women can truly heal, I’ve made it my mission to help others connect the missing pieces of their health puzzle so they can get back to feeling like themselves again… or maybe for the very first time.

Nothing is impossible when you have a strategic plan and a guide to support you through the process.

If you’re ready for an outcome like Cheryl, myself, and so many others, I’d love to see your application hit my inbox this week so you can take your life back. You can find health and weight loss during menopause without the weight loss pills.

5 Keys to Build a Strong Foundation For A Healthy Weight And Metabolism

5 Keys to Build a Strong Foundation For A Healthy Weight And Metabolism

Do you have dreams of doing big things with your life?

You know you were created to make a big impact in this world. But there’s something stopping you from going forward – maybe your weight, metabolism, energy, hormones, or gut. It’s natural that you have a little bit of disconnect.

But if it’s not managed properly, it can spiral into deeper, more harmful emotional issues like depression or anxiety. You may even feel you’re in a constant state of stress.

I can’t stand to see this happen. Honestly, it’s just wrong.

This is why I’ve devoted my life to helping people like you overcome these health challenges and build a foundation for a healthy weight and metabolism.

The reason I do it is because I care, because I was once just like you.

My health, or lack thereof, dominated my life at one time. Every decision I made was based on whether or not I would have enough energy to do it. I would also wonder if there was going to be a bathroom close enough for me to deal with an unforeseen emergency. I hope you don’t know what that’s like. But many of my clients do.

I was ruled by sugar addiction, antibiotics several times per year, doctor bills, and loads of medications. Moreover, I was going to the pharmacy every single month to fill my bag of prescriptions.

But I wasn’t getting well.

I understand your pain. To help, I’ve put together the 5 keys to build a strong foundation for a healthy weight and metabolism – the start of good health.

5 Keys To Building A Robust Foundation For A Healthy Weight And Metabolism

What was missing in my life was a systematic process.

Everything seemed so difficult, and nothing was providing me with the right answers. That’s why I developed a simple process that my clients could follow and see results.

It’s as simple as scheduling a call with me to discuss your short-term and long-term health goals. Then, I customize a plan for you. Together, we’ll dial in your nutrition, get rid of the hidden stress that’s keeping you sick, and work on mastering your mind so you can joyfully move forward.

And I’ll be right there to walk you through the process as your guide!

Don’t put this off, your health is too important.

The impact you were created to make is too important.

Imagine your life one year from today.

If you do nothing different, what is that going to look like? Will you have the energy you need to play with your kids? Will you still be holding down the job that you’re always late for because you lack the energy to get up on time?

Also consider your relationships. Will you continue to put off intimacy with your spouse and keep canceling plans with friends? All because you just don’t feel like it? How will your children and grandchildren remember you?

I want to see a different story play out for you.

In fact, I’m going to tell you about the success of one of my clients who previously checked all the above boxes. Keep reading to access the exact steps she took to reclaim her health by having a healthy weight and metabolism, so that you can take them, too. Ready to get started now? Schedule a call today to discuss your health goals with me.

Taking Your Life Back By Understanding What Your Body Needs

My client, Cheryl, found herself sitting on the couch everyday wishing her life was different. She had dreams and plans for her future to start a Ministry and become an author. She also wanted to enjoy her husband and children more. But she had no drive to accomplish these dreams.

She would find herself sitting on the couch all day until her husband and children returned home from work and school. Then, she would peel herself off the couch in the evening to cook dinner.

Cheryl was stressed, exhausted, carrying 50 pounds of excess weight, and was a little moody because of her hormone imbalance. She was so confused about all the health advice out there. She had tried everything she knew and heard of, but nothing was changing.

At 50 years old, she knew this wasn’t what she wanted for the rest of her life and that she had to do something different. She began to cry out for answers.

When Cheryl and I first had a conversation, I asked if she would let me help her. Cheryl didn’t know if she had the finances and was skeptical if this would be any different than what she had tried in the past. But when we spoke, she was filled with hope for the first time in a long time.

Does Cheryl’s story remind you of yourself? Reach out to me today to start working towards a life worth living.

1. Address The Underlying Root

There is a difference between addressing symptoms versus repairing “the root.” Most people focus on things they can see, instead of focusing on the roots of the underlying conditions. Oftentimes, the root is poor sleep habits, toxins, negative thoughts, lack of exercise, poor diet, and inflammation. Most people tend to focus on the labels of disease or diagnosis. This can be obesity, allergies, irritable bowel syndrome, depressions, diabetes, PCOS, autoimmune disease, and more.

But when you focus on the disease, you’ll end up fighting symptoms. Being drawn to fad diets, pills, and detoxes won’t give you the results you want. It’s important to remember, health is not one-size-fits-all.

If you focus on the root, you’ll strengthen your organs, bring balance into your entire body, and rid yourself of symptoms as a side effect. Addressing the underlying root brings hormones, energy, and metabolism into balance.

2. Eat Right For Your Body

It’s important to figure out which foods are right for your body. Doing so allows your body to function at its potential, gives you freedom from cravings, and rids the uncertainty around what to eat.

When you don’t understand how to eat right for your metabolism, you’ll mindlessly follow every new fad diet out there. Then, you’ll needlessly obsess over the scale. It will dictate how you show up in the world because the number isn’t going in the direction you planned for and want so badly.

Once you understand how to eat right for your metabolism, things start to feel right. Meals will leave you satisfied, mood stabilizes, blood sugar becomes balanced, cravings go away, and you’ll no longer feel like you’re crashing after meals. Is your relationship with food a constant battle? Get in touch with me so that we can start uncovering why the cycle continues and get you on a path towards healing change.

3. Uncover Hidden Stress

When considering daily stressors, you likely think about mental and emotional stress. However, we have to think about other hidden stressors.

Hidden stressors require additional investigation. This means hiring someone with experience to look at your hormones, immune system, digestion, detoxification, energy pathways, and nervous system. Understanding these stressors will give you better insight into what is causing certain symptoms or disease processes to show up in your body.

If you’re not addressing the hidden stress, then you’ll miss out on the big picture. You won’t be able to get rid of those nagging symptoms. Conventional wisdom doesn’t address the “why.” Instead it focuses on the diagnosis more than getting to the root. But it’s the root of your diagnosis that actually gives you the most powerful answers to address your unique needs so that you can finally heal.

4. Heal Your Body From The Inside Out

This world we live in is very toxic. If you don’t clean our cells the right way, then your entire body will begin to suffer. Chronic disease is a result of bodies that are sick on a cellular level. By not fully implementing what your body needs to optimize cellular health, you will never reach your true health potential. This is why so many people yo-yo up and down on the scale.

I’ll go ahead and caution you here by stating that “detox in a box” is not that answer. Instead, you must have all the tools you need for this process to fully work for you in your body.

But once you get this right, your body will release toxins stored in your fat. And only then will your body feel safe enough to release excess body fat. The thyroid controls about 20% of your weight gain, weight loss, and energy. Once your thyroid is functioning optimally, your body will balance your body weight naturally. Furthermore, you’ll get rid of excess hormones like estrogens that may be causing your weight gain, hot flashes, and bloating.

5. Invest In Yourself

If you’re anything like I used to be, you want a direct path to success. You want someone to help you sift through the loads of misinformation. Then, you want a roadmap for your unique needs. No one speeds up the path to success by doing it alone. That’s why hiring a mentor who was once JUST LIKE YOU is so important.

If you choose to do this alone, you’re risking your success. Not only that, but you’ll continue on the path you’re on now. The guessing will continue about how to get the results you desire. Countless dollars will be spent on things that may or may not get the results you need. Moreover, you’ll be adding years to your frustration. When you’re trapped in this cycle, you may even give up on your goals completely. You may lose faith that health and happiness is possible for you.

I’ve been there.

And so has Cheryl.

What you need is someone to encourage, support, and believe in you. Especially when you’re not believing in yourself. You need someone to remain passionate about helping you create a life you love. To help you focus on the pieces that matter most for your unique situation. Someone to hold you accountable for what you SAY you’re going to do.

A great mentor helps you try new things, take risks, and gets you out of your comfort that is holding you back. Even better, a great mentor teaches you to learn to trust yourself and let go of negative baggage. This is someone who welcomes your thoughts, fears, feelings, failures, and secret yearnings without judgement.

Trusting The Process To A Healthy Weight And Metabolism To Finally Heal & See Results

Through my process, Cheryl was able to lose 55 pounds and keep it off! Her hormones came into balance naturally. She achieved her dream of becoming an author of Letting God Lead. Cheryl is now a successful woman in the Ministry who leads others to live a healthy lifestyle so they can do what they are called to do.

Cheryl is one of the greatest testimonies of living a life of health by having a healthy weight and metabolism so that you can be successful in your finances, relationships, and every area of your life. Now, she is living the life that she could only imagine from her place on the couch just a few short years ago.

I know Cheryl would never argue if I said health is your greatest asset. Because, it truly is.

You have a choice today. And your life and impact is too important for you to put this off! After all, you only get one chance. Don’t waste it sitting on the couch because you simply don’t feel like doing anything different. Because, you don’t get to do it over later.

Live your dreams.

Be the mom and wife and friend you want to be.

And be that person because you feel like, not because you have to be.

If you’re like Cheryl, connect with me today to get on my calendar. Take the first step to living a life worth living by completing my intake application.

This could be the most important decision you make today.

How Doable is Healthy Living?

How Doable is Healthy Living?

Have you ever thought about what drives you?

When we find something that truly drives us, and we know why, then we can set our focus on getting there, and the rest just kind of happens. That’s exactly what happened with me. Today I want to start from the beginning and tell you a little bit about why I do what I do.

I grew up on a typical Standard American Diet, however, my family was blessed with fresh farm foods, straight out of my grandparents garden. Like many of you, I also snacked on a lot of those fast food items growing up, like candy bars and sodas. I loved a good Snickers bar.

My symptoms of sickness actually started when I was a child. I remember my mawmaw looking at me one day and saying, “child you get every sickness that comes down this family line.”

What was she talking about?

Blood sugar issues, inability to pay attention, gas, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, nausea after meals. These were just some of the things I was experiencing as a very young child.

To my doctors, these things were called IBS, hypoglycemia, and ADD. This was me in grade school. The older I got, the more diagnoses I received. In college, my doctors called it depression, anxiety, hypothyroidism, and then came the dreaded perimenopause at age 29. Now all of these were just diagnoses, not to speak of the symptoms that actually came with them.

Migraines that lasted sometimes a month with no relief, chronic fatigue that would land me on the couch for a daily nap, sugar addiction, hair loss, stuttered speech, foggy thinking, poor memory and concentration, chronic pain and inflammation, acne… the list goes on. This list kept growing and growing, year after year, with no end in site.

UNTIL…

I decided that I would not live like this forever. I made a decision to get well, no matter the cost. I didn’t care how much time, money, effort, or pain it took. I was determined. One of the things I ask anyone who comes to me for advice on health today is, “rate yourself on a 1 out of 10 – how committed are you to living symptom-free, or as close to it as possible?” When you’ll do anything to change your current circumstances in your health (or any area for that matter), then you’re ready. It’s unfortunate, but I’ve had to turn people away who weren’t committed to making the changes needed to live in health.

What many people don’t tell you is that for some people, it’s hard work. When I started looking at what it would cost me to get well, I never worried about the finances- and we weren’t rich. It was everything I felt like I was giving up to get there. If the truth be known, that’s probably why I stayed sick for so long. I wasn’t ready to be well. I see people in that same place every single day, and it saddens me.

As a nation, we are getting sicker every year. How is that, when we’ve advanced so much in the field of medicine? I imagine it has a lot to do with the fact that we’re relying on big business to tell us what to put on the end of our forks, and what pills to take for our ailments.

We’ve forgotten the simple principles of healthy living, but another missing component is that there is so little education on the amount of toxins in our environment and in our food that we aren’t even aware of what we’re doing to our bodies to cause them harm. We’re also not educated on how to get rid of these toxins once our bodies become sick and diseased because of them.

What can we do about it?

On my journey to health, I learned that many of the chronic ailments we deal with on a daily basis can be taken care of by getting back to the basics of healthy living as our ancestors did, and implementing protocols that help us rid much of the toxicity we bring in on a daily basis, not only in our physical bodies, but in our minds as well.

It’s important that we begin to take an active role in our health instead of letting someone dictate how it should look for us. Our bodies are intelligent, but we were never intended to live on chemicals and call it food. Our convenience driven society has us in a place of sickness, and it’s my greatest desire for you to understand that you don’t have to stay there forever.

Hippocrates said it well, “if someone wishes for good health, one must first ask oneself if he is ready to do away with the reasons for his illness. Only then is it possible to help him.”

In the book I wrote, Healed His Way, you’ll find many of the same resources that I used to heal my body naturally, the way God intended. I use those same healing principles with the clients I work with today. They can work for you too.

It starts with you. You have a choice to bring health and healing into your own body. You make those decisions every single day, whether you realize it or not. When you’re ready to heal, your teacher will appear.

CLIENT TESTIMONY

I’d like to share with you a recent testimony from a client so that you understand how simple this process can look. My client is very similar to me. She came to me at age 22. I fell in love with the idea of helping her, because it was about the age I was when I started feeling my symptoms kick into high gear. When she came to me, she was looking to relieve what she called, “period episodes” right before her menstrual period began. Short story… This was so severe for her that she got so physically ill that she would pass out and even ended up in the hospital the week before we started working together.

Listen to what she has to say:

” I was looking to relieve period episodes/cramps. I would say it’s a 180-degree turnaround. I went from living in fear of what would happen when my period starts, eating foods that made me feel sluggish, not being very active or energetic throughout the day to a new version of me. Now I feel great with little to no symptoms. I don’t even know when my period is about to start. I eat healthy and I love it. I go to the gym because I want to, and feel awake and energetic throughout the entire day! My greatest accomplishment is that I have learned to do what is right for my body; I understand what certain foods do to my body; and I now take action to make the right food choices every day! I enjoyed working with Chelsie because of her honesty, confidence, encouragement, wisdom, and willingness to help me understand and go through the process with me. She is very relational and caring! She created the perfect plan that fit exactly what I needed. Her goal was to help me get to the root of my issue, resolve it, and to help me overcome whatever I was facing.

Thank you Chelsie for teaching me and walking with me through my health journey. I know things that I never learned in school about health. I am now confident and feel free to do the things I love (like travel) without feeling anxious or fearful of what could happen because of my health. I am beyond grateful to God that our paths crossed and that you imparted such wisdom and knowledge. Thank you for your passion and excitement and for changing my life!”

Let’s Talk About Weight Loss

Let’s Talk About Weight Loss

I’m currently in the middle if a cleanse challenge with a group of phenomenol ladies. I’ll say, for most people, cleansing brings weight loss – especially if it’s done right. But my experience tells me that weight loss is more than a simple diet. It can look quite different for a lot of people.

So many diets fail because they treat us human beings as if we were calculators. And the truth is, it’s not that simple. You can’t just say something as simple as high fat low carb works for everyone. Another truth for you– all diets work– at least for a period of time. And depending on if you have found the right one for your body or not, will determine how long it works for you. If they didn’t work, then people wouldn’t do them.

So why do we fail?

1. We don’t work on toxin removal

2. We give up way too soon

3. We aren’t honest and cheat our way through

4. We aren’t on the right program for our individual body

When we create a change in the body, the body begins to respond. So something as simple as going on a diet and removing things like starchy carbohydrates or sugar or sodas or junk food will give us somewhat of a result.

And as a matter of fact, a lot of people stop dieting because they hit a plateau. But the truth about a plateau is that it’s also normal.

Plateaus can actually happen for many reasons.

1. The body holding water in place of the fat. It does this as an energy saving mechanism. And when the body realizes you aren’t going to refill those cells with fat, you’ll release it. That’s why some days on a diet, you’ll wake up 3 pounds lighter and wonder how you lost all that mover night.

2. Body fat to muscle ratio Exchange. If you’re exercising, you’re gaining muscle and the exchange prevents the scale from moving. Plain and simple. BIA ( bioimpedance analysis) is a more accurate way of measuring. It looks at more than just weight and can measure things like water and fat % as well. If you talk to my clients, they will tell you that I believe your bathroom scale is a big liar.

3. Inflammation. Releasing fat and toxins as well as stress on the body, even in the form of good stress like exercise can lead to small amounts of inflammation.

The reasons for plateau above are just a few obvious ones, but as I said earlier, the body is not that simple, and if we trust the process and keep pushing, we will overcome the plateau, if we’re on the right plan for our body.

What if you feel like you’re doing everything right with no results?

You’re eating supposedly the right Foods, doing your aerobic activity and weight lifting exercises, getting appropriate sleep, ridding your body of toxins the best way you know how, and implementing stress-reducing practices. You’ve been meditating, praying, starving, fasting, fueling yourself on excess protein, trying diets like keto that supposedly work for everyone. You get the point.

As I mentioned earlier, the body is not a calculator and sometimes all of those things are great, but what if you have not found the root to your weight problem?

What if eating all those healthy foods are actually poison in your system? Take salmon, for example. It’s a healthy food for most people, but if you have a sensitivity to it, then you’re actually adding fuel to your fire of inflammation every time you consume it.

Food sensitivities are just one piece of the puzzle that I like to investigate when helping someone implement a healthy lifestyle change that will actually help them get to the root of their issues so they can live a life of freedom from the yo-yo diet.

There are many things that can upset our systems in a way that prevents us from overcoming our weight and metabolism issues. Things like:

-Hormones imbalance

-Eating the wrong foods for your body or in the wrong ratios

-Problems digesting your food appropriately or not absorbing your nutrients

-Overgrowth of certain gut bugs or imbalance

Yep! You heard me right gut bugs can get in the way of you losing excess body fat. What am I talking about here? Parasites, bacterial infections, fungal infections, yeast. These are all things that can live in our bodies, but we need to get rid of certain ones and the balance of these bugs needs to be addressed. And the great thing is, you can test your gut to see what’s in there.

What’s next?

I love to empower those who are overweight and sick for unknown reasons so they can get to the root of their health issues and live the life they desire. Truth is, you were created for greatness. You were created to live a life of free from sickness. You should not struggle everyday for the rest of your life, whether it’s in your weight or suffering from nagging or chronic symptoms like headaches, fatigue, food cravings or anything else for that matter.

How long have you been struggling, friend? That is a very important question. And what are you willing to do to end that struggle?

After dealing with symptoms of sickness in almost every organ system of my body, I worked with some of the greatest mentors in the field of functional medicine and have gained knowledge and understanding on how to implement protocols that have helped thousands of others get to the root of their health issues so they can truly live the life of their dreams.

What are you waiting for? I remember being sick of being sick. My rock bottom was after years of suffering silently. I know you may be doing the same right now. Or maybe you’re complaining. Either way, there’s hope for you! All it takes is the right plan.

I’ll be sharing more about my journey and what I’ve done to get well and help others do the same in upcoming articles. So stay tuned.

And if you feel a connection in a way that encourages you to do a little detective work in your own life, I’d love to share more about how you could do that. My book, Healed His Way is a simple straightforward read, and it’s a great place to start. And when you’re ready to go deeper with some one on one support, I’ll be here to provide you with the resources you need to do that.

I’m wishing you an amazing day of health and happiness!
